Meet Taran the Pict and learn about his lifestyle, ask away during the Q&A sessions and get your hands on some objects that would have been used by the Pictish people.
Andrew Newton is a retired NHS Consultant who now volunteers as a heritage educator. He’s a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, a regular contributor to the Online Young Archaeologists’ Club in Archaeology Scotland, and an ambassador for their Heritage Heroes programme. Andrew regularly volunteers at museums across the country, including at Hadrian’s Wall, Trimontium in Melrose and Groam House Museum in Rosemarkie.

Join us at Dingwall Museum to make your very own beaker bowl. Based on the Brahan Urn, the Museum’s prehistoric food urn, you’ll coil-build your very own bowl and decorate with incised decorations.
